Tetrarch are a metal band that incorporates elements of Nu-metal, metalcore, and thrash metal with an accessible quality that exhibits both an edgy aggressivness as well as a catchy familiarity.

Originally coming out of Atlanta, they have relocated to Los Angeles and have recently put out their third album, "Freak".

Built around the talents of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Josh Fore and lead guitarist Diamond Rowe, they are joined by Ryan Lerner on bass guitar and Ruben Limas on drums, fleshing out the power of rhythm in the quartet.

They mixed up the set list with a number of selections from the latest album with several songs from their debut and sophomore albums as well.

Their latest efforts have proven to be songs that get into your head and stay there with both melodies and lyrics that remain. The set was even-divided between old and new with "Pull The Trigger" and "Leave Me Alone" interlying older favorites "Tyranny of Saints", "Set to Flames" and the crowd pleaser, "We are the Hunters".

One thing that really sets Tetrarch apart from their peers is the sound and style of their lead guitarist. It is hard to fully descibe, but the solos and riffs she executes are not conventional metal and help lift the songs to another level.

They closed out the set with the title track from the new album, "Freak". This song is definitely the song that resonates the most, and will be the song that leads them on to bigger things in the near future. It was a good show and very energetic despite landing on a Sunday night with everyone anticipating the coming work week. I know we will be hearing a lot more from this band.
