Nervosa is a thrash death metal band formed in 2010 in São Paulo, Brazil but in recent years they have expanded to feature artists not only from Brazil, but Italy, Spain, and Greece as well.

Founding guitarist Prika Amaral has guided their sound and style, seeking out like-minded women to form a band unlike any other. With Diva Satánica (ex Bloodhunter) on vocals, Mia Wallace (ex Abbath) on bass guitar, and Eleni Nota on drums the quartet put out their strongest release yet over the pandemic with "Perpetual Chaos".

Nervosa come to North America as direct support for Destruction and was afforded a lengthy set, giving room for a dozen songs. The majority came from "Perpetual Chaos" with stand-out songs being the title track, "Guided by Evil" and "Blood Eagle" but the entire album is phenomenal from start to finish.

The venue was packed, potentially sold out, with thrash fans so the circle pit was in full effect even before they played "Into Moshpit" but when they did, it escalated to take up most of the main floor with anyone not participating pushed up against the side and front barriers.

They put on a spectacular show, all of the women exuding presence and power. I had been wanting to see Nervosa for years and they did not disappoint.
