Moonspell went on to do most of their best songs from every album .

They jumped into "Wolfshade-the werewolf masquerade" from Wolfheart, "Ruin and Misery" off of Irreligious, and "Heart Shaped Abyss" just to name some of the older songs they played.

I was glad they did so many songs off the new album such as "Firewalking", "Nocturna", and "How we became Fire" (a fantastic, relatively slower piece with really great lyrics, this song stuck in my head after hearing it on the disc but after seeing them do it live, I find myself singing it all the time).

Fernando and the rest of the band were extremely entertaining to watch as well. Fernando with his dark expressions and evil gestures and the rest of the musicians with their extremely deft handling of their respective instruments.

There was a guitarist playing amazingly intricate pieces with seemingly no effort, a bassist keeping the groove and drive going, a drummer hidden in the recesses of the small stage, and a keyboardist that would switch off to rythm or backup guitar from time to time as well.

The last song of the main set was the title track off the new album, "Darkness and Hope" and it just kicked ass.

They stepped off the stage for only a moment due to time comstraints of the venue and with no rest got back on and did an encore starting with the awesome cover of Ozzy's "Mr. Crowely" which is the bonus track on the US release of the new album.

Immediately after that treat they went into "Full Moon Madness", and a really great version at that to draw a close to a brilliant show.

I loved Moonspell live and cant wait to see them again, maybe in Europe the next time.
